Passepartout Duo
Passepartout Duo’s (Nicoletta Favari & Christopher Salvito) work investigates the way in which we listen to and connect with sound. The group is continually developing a specialized and evolving ecosystem of handmade musical instruments that have ranged from analog electronic circuits and conventional percussion, to room-size textile installations and found objects. The group has been on a nearly continuous world tour ever since they began collaborating in 2015, and their experiences traveling have heavily influenced their unconventional creative process.
Passepartout Duo has received the support of various residency programs including: YUI-PORT (jp), Cyens Thinker Makerspace (cy), EKWC (nl), The Watermill Center (us), Rogers Art Loft (us), Interface Inagh (ie), The Swatch Art Peace Hotel (cn), Embassy of Foreign Artists (ch). They have exhibited and performed at various venues including: Begehungen Festival, Casino Luxembourg, The Nakanojo Biennale, Wien Modern, Gaudeamus, Unfinished Festival, Sonica. Their project have also been selected for funding through SHAPE+, Culture Moves Europe, and tekhnē.
