Multimedia artist MV Carbon (Brooklyn, NY), is a recording artist, producer, and composer, builds sonic sculptures, multimedia environments, and performs live. She explores the intricate relationships between sound, image, space and place, intermeshing voices, sonic objects, and organized sound with the unique acoustic qualities of the immediate surroundings. Vintage microphones, handmade circuits, radio frequencies, signal interference, and magnetic tape, evoke connections to early forms of technology. Cellos crack under the influence of the natural world as sonic energy is unleashed through electronics, and alternative materials.
