Leon Jones
Leon Jones is a highly regarded multimedia artist whose work delves into the intricate nature of humanity, while also challenging conventional notions of practicality and functionality. With a keen focus on celebrating the significant cultural contributions of Black Americans to the history of America, Jones' work is a testament to the richness and diversity of American culture. Based in Kansas City, Missouri, Jones earned his Master of Fine Arts degree in Visual Arts from the prestigious Studio Arts College International (SACI) in Florence, Italy in 2017, following his completion of a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the Kansas City Art Institute in 2013.
Jones' talent and creativity have been recognized through various prestigious residency programs, including a two-year studio artist residency with the Charlotte Street Foundation from 2021 to 2022. In February 2023, he began a three-year residency at Studios Inc in Kansas City.
