Lea Bertucci
Lea Bertucci is a composer, performer, and sound designer whose work describes relationships between acoustic phenomena and biological resonance. In addition to her practice with woodwind instruments, she incorporates multi-channel speaker arrays, electroacoustic feedback, timbral techniques, and tape collage. In recent years, her projects have expanded toward site-responsive and site-specific sonic investigations of architecture. While in residence at Bemis, Bertucci will be working on recording a new album of experimental electroacoustic compositions for alto saxophone, tape, flute, organ, and piano. She will also be working in collaboration with vocalist and composer Amirtha Kidambi on their duo project for voice and tape.
