Latent Community

Latent Community is an interdisciplinary artist duo founded in 2017 in Athens (Greece) by the visual artists and filmmakers Ionian Bisai and Sotiris Tsiganos. They work with moving image in research-based projects as a tool to explore issues of social, political and ecological justice.

Latent Community’s interdisciplinary practice integrates extensive fieldwork with performative filming strategies as a means to render forgotten memories, to amplify unheard voices and to explore overlooked ecosystems. The artist duo aims to create conceptual and emotional experiences through which a more equal and sustainable future may be imagined.
