Open House / Open Studios
Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts
One of the most anticipated events at Bemis Center each season, Open House / Open Studios encourages visitors to explore various aspects of art-making on-site.
Visit with current artists-in-residence to see their studios, view their works-in-progress, and discuss art, life, and their Bemis residency experience. Participate in a hands-on art activity and experience an experimental music performance from current Sound Artists-in-Residence, Passepartout Duo, at LOW END.
Schedule
10 AM: Exhibition galleries open
12–4 PM: View artists' studios and works-in-progress on the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th floors
1–3 PM: All-ages art activity | Clay sculpture using press molds with David Manzanares in Bemis's Okada Sculpture & Ceramics Facility
4 PM: Live @ LOW END | Passepartout Duo
Open House / Open Studios activities take place on August 3 from noon to 5 PM.
Bemis Center is also a participating venue in the Summer 2024 edition of Open Omaha: On August 3–4, galleries and LOW END will be open for exploring from 10 AM to 5 PM.
