Maya Dunietz is an artist and musician performing internationally for the past 30 years. She works in the thin lines between music, visual art, performance, technological research, and philosophy. Her compositions are commissioned by renowned performers and ensembles around the world, such as Saar Berger (Ensemble Modern), Meitar Ensemble, Bat Kol Choir, Hyperion Ensemble and many more. Her works have been shown in institutions such as Centre Pompidou, Palais de Tokyo, Arnolfini Gallery, Reykjavik Arts Festival. Dunietz is currently the Sound Art + Experimental Music Artist-in-Residence at Bemis Center in collaboration with artist David Lemoine, creating eight new site-responsive installations for her solo exhibition at Bemis Center opening in May 2022. mayadunietz.com
The Modern Art Notes Podcast, hosted and produced by Tyler Green, is a weekly, roughly hour-long interview program featuring artists, historians, authors, curators and conservators. While the program is typically studio-based, it has taped live-audience episodes at nearly a dozen American art museums, such as the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Baltimore Museum of Art, and the Nasher Sculpture Center. The program has published new episodes each Thursday since 2011. manpodcast.com
COVID Safety Policy
To ensure Bemis Center is providing a safe environment for everyone, the following policies are in place for this event:
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative COVID-19 test
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test is required for all visitors 12 and over. Visitors who are unable to be or who are not fully vaccinated must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
Face Coverings Indoors
Face coverings are encouraged for attendees 12 and over when not eating or drinking indoors. A face covering is required for all visitors, ages 2–11 when indoors.

LOW END is Bemis Center’s music venue and an integral part of the Sound Art + Experimental Music Program. The unique artist-designed space features free live shows by local, national, and international sound artists, composers, and experimental musicians. These performances aim to not only build greater appreciation and new audiences but also to liberate the artists to take risks and present truly avant-garde work.
