Assembly Workshop #1 with Artist-in-Residence Haley Kostas

Assembly is a movement collective for all dancers, dance enthusiasts, movers and shakers (aka non-dancers). Join Bemis Artist-In-Residence Haley Kostas for this somatic movement series that invites all to move and reconnect with their bodies. Assembly includes three unique, site-specific explorations at Bemis: March 1 (First Floor), March 15 (Third Floor) and April 5 (Fifth Floor). Feel free to attend one, two, or all three sessions.

Beginners welcome, no experience necessary. Admission is free. Workshop space is limited; please register in advance and kindly contact Bemis Center if you can no longer attend.

About the Artist

Haley Kostas is a choreographer and movement director from Kansas City, MO. An artist who creates movement with psychological and social intent, her work is designed to evoke the individual’s experience while exploring the modulation of the social gathering, with the visceral hope of moving through what we feel, think and experience together.
