Bemis Center seeks a hyper-organized, detail-oriented Capital Campaign Coordinator to join a passionate team at a historical moment for the organization. After three years of strategic visioning and campus master planning, Bemis is embarking on its largest capital campaign to date to significantly elevate the organization’s community impact through expanded mission-centric programming and inspired building improvements. Working hand-in-hand with the Capital Campaign Chair, Campaign Committee, and Executive Director, the Campaign Coordinator will assist in the planning, organization, and execution of a $40MM capital campaign over a three-to-four year period. This full-time position reports to Bemis’s Development Director and is a trusted, accountable member of the Development Department. As the campaign concludes, it is anticipated this position will pivot to the creation of and ongoing management of a new planned giving program. In this capacity, the position will help bridge campaign contributors—along with new and existing donors—to long-term sustaining legacy gifts through a variety of charitable giving options to ensure Bemis’s viability and community impact for future generations.

Responsibilities
Coordinate all aspects of the planning, execution, and completion of Bemis’s upcoming capital campaign, including donor outreach, facilitating meetings, maintaining calendars, and liaising with all internal departments to ensure seamless organization and delivery of campaign activities
Work closely with the Executive Director and Capital Campaign Chair on the creation and management of campaign-related timelines, budgets, informational and solicitation materials, donor reports and communications, marketing tools, and other materials as necessary
Assist with the organization, facilitation, and engagement of the Capital Campaign Committee, including current Board Members, donors, and project business partners
Facilitate the creation and dissemination of campaign-related communication and marketing resources, including print, digital, social media, PR, and paid advertising, in collaboration with Omaha’s Clark Creative Group and Bemis’s Communications Department
Collaborate with the Development Manager to coordinate campaign-related grant research, applications, and reporting from local and national foundations
Assist in the design and implementation of campaign prospect cultivation activities, including facility tours, cocktail receptions, meals, and special events
In collaboration with the Development Director, assist in the research, planning, and launch of Bemis’s official planned giving program with the expectation to manage and grow the program once the campaign is completed
Ensure accurate and timely donation accounting, recognition, and status reporting by working closely with the Development Assistant and Operations Director
Under the direction of the Development Director, collaborate with other members of the Development Department to strategize and execute on annual fundraising efforts for general operations, such as donor cultivation events, foundation research and requests, and the Benefit Art Auction

Requirements
- Successful candidates will have a minimum of two years experience as a fundraising professional, preferably in a small-to-medium-size arts organization or other non-profit organization
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, communications/public relations, finance, administration, or in a field complementary to the duties of the position
- Demonstrated experience assisting in donor identification, cultivation, and solicitation strategies and processes is a must
- Experience planning and organizing fundraising appeals, campaigns, and in-person donor cultivation events to secure major contributions from individual donors, foundations, government agencies, and businesses
- Existing knowledge of all aspects of researching, submitting, and reporting grant applications to foundations and government agencies is required
- Demonstrated experience with database management and ability to organize and analyze data towards implementation of strategic fundraising objectives
- Excellent computers skills, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat) and both Google and Microsoft Office Suites
- Flawless command of written language with editor’s attention to detail and the ability to craft compelling appeals for support
- Outstanding verbal communication and interpersonal skills exhibiting the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, such as Board Members, donors, volunteers, strategic partners, and the public
- Ability to have a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends, to assist with public programs, special events, and off-site development-related activities
- A successful reference and criminal background check is required
Working Conditions
Office-based role with standard hours, typically Monday to Friday
Some evenings and weekends are required for public programs and special events
May involve some physical activity, such as lifting boxes or setting up for events
Compensation
This is a salaried position, based on knowledge, skills, and experience. The salary range is $55,000–$65,000 and comes with Bemis’s competitive benefit package, including medical, dental, and life insurance; retirement plan; paid vacation; paid sick leave; and paid holidays.
